Next Two Outdoor Services!

Greetings in Christ,

The Session met yesterday, and I want to share some news.

First, we look forward to seeing people again in person at St. Luke’s on Sunday, July 26 and Sunday, August 23 at 10:30 am! We will meet outside, and we again ask all who are able to bring their own chairs and to prioritize space under the pavilion for those who may be more sensitive to the heat and sun. We think we have found a way to also share those services live over Zoom as we ordinarily do, but they will also be recorded and posted on our Facebook page and website Sunday afternoon.

Second, there will be a congregational meeting following worship on August 23 in order to discuss amending our bylaws to allow us to conduct church business remotely when necessary. We are working on the specific language, and will share it with the congregation in August.

Third, we will celebrate communion in our virtual service on Sunday, July 19. We urge everyone to have their own elements, that is some bread or a cracker as well as wine or grape juice ready and with them at the start of the service, or when they start to watch the service.

Finally, we do ask that anyone coming into the church building wear a mask to help protect Dottie and me and in observance of Gov. Justice’s order regarding masks indoors.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Rob
